Courtney Maxfield is a Senior Human Resources Professional who brings a unique blend of event marketing experience and deep HR expertise to her work. She launched her career on the road as a Tour Director on the US Open Series Tennis Tour, where she managed the fast-paced logistics, staffing, and compliance needs of a multi-state sporting event. From there, she transitioned into Human Resources with Whole Foods Market, where she grew into the role of Regional Team Member Services and became a founding member of the Regional Recruiting Team, supporting thousands of employees across multiple states.

Courtney studied Organizational Leadership at Northern Kentucky University, where she focused on Industrial/Organizational Psychology and History. She draws on both her academic background and hands-on leadership experience to strengthen organizational culture, streamline processes, and help employees thrive. After several years working in the non-profit sector, where she developed a passion for assisting nonprofits and small businesses—she joined the Cause Capacity team in 2025, bringing her expertise in HR and payroll consulting to mission-driven organizations.

When she’s not working, Courtney is deeply involved in her community. She lives outside of Cincinnati with her husband and their five children where she finds joy in reading historical fiction, cheering from the sidelines at her kids’ sporting events, and volunteering. She also runs a small sourdough micro-bakery, using her love of baking to raise funds for local charities.
